Proxmox Backups

Privacy policy

Effective October 7, 2026.

Operator and purpose

Brandon Boisclair operates Proxmox Backups for personal backup and recovery. Google Drive access is used only to provide these functions.

Information accessed

The tool uses Google's OAuth authorization through rclone. It requests the drive.file permission to create and manage files and folders it creates or that are specifically authorized for it. It processes backup file contents and metadata, including filenames, sizes, identifiers, timestamps, and checksums when available. It does not request access to Gmail or Google Photos.

Storage and use

Backup archives are stored on the owner's equipment and in the owner's Google Drive account. OAuth credentials and tokens are stored in the owner's rclone configuration and used to access Drive without repeated sign-in. The intended retention is the two most recent successful backups of each system, subject to the configured backup job and manual deletion. Google Drive trash may retain deleted copies until emptied or expired.

Sharing

Google processes backup data to provide Drive storage. Backup data and Google account data are not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI models. This public website does not contain backup archives or OAuth credentials.

Website visitors

This site has no analytics scripts, advertising, forms, or application cookies. Its hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details to serve and secure the site.

Access removal and deletion

The owner can revoke the tool's authorization through Google Account third-party connections. Revoking access stops future access but does not delete existing backups. Backups can be deleted from Google Drive and its trash, and from local storage; saved rclone credentials can be removed separately.

Google API data

Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
